By-election results announced for Bunhill, Highbury West, Holloway, Mildmay and St Peter's wards

The results have been announced for the five ward by-elections held on Thursday, 6 May. The winning candidates are as follows:

Bunhill ward: Valerie Bossman-Quarshie (Labour)

Highbury West ward: Bashir Ibrahim (Labour)

Holloway ward: Jason Jackson (Labour)

Mildmay ward: Angelo Weekes (Labour)

St Peter's ward: Toby North (Labour)

The council now comprises: 

45 Labour councillors 

1 Conservative councillor 

1 Green Party councillor 

1 Independent councillor
