Fun activities for children and young people this Easter

Islington children and young people will have a range of adventures, events, and activities to keep them excited and active this Easter break – exploring the borough’s many adventure playgrounds, youth hubs, leisure facilities, and libraries.

 

Families can rummage through a treasure trove of arts and crafts at the Barnsbury Estate Community Hall’s Easter Fair on Saturday 1 April.

 

Young people, aged 8 and older, have lots of opportunities at the Rose Bowl – including football and multi-sports sessions, arts and crafts, a beauty bar, music production and singing, body art, roller skating and cooking – at a range of workshops between 3 and 7 April.  Lift will be offering its usual evening programme of activities between 3 and 7 April, including workouts, afrobeats dance, a DJ workshop, table tennis coaching and music production. Anyone keen for more information should check out www.liftislington.org.uk.

Local children are challenged to hunt for Easter eggs – and compete for the ‘best dressed egg’ – at Lumpy Hill Adventure Playground on Tuesday 11 April. For more information, visit www.islingtonplay.org.uk.

Those more interested in fashion can learn new creative crafts, such as dyeing clothes, on Thursday 6 and Wednesday 12 April between noon and 4pm. 

 

Film buffs, aged 13 and older, can watch a film, chosen by young people, on the big screen at Lift Youth Hub on Thursday 13 April at 12 noon.

  

Teenagers, sixteen and younger, can showcase their scoring skills at free football coaching sessions at Mitchison Baxter Ball Park, while outdoor types and culinary-minded kids can learn the art of den building and cooking techniques. More details can be found at www.islingtonlife.london.
