Have your say at ‘budget special’ Leader’s Question Time

Local residents are invited to quiz Islington Council’s Leader, Cllr Richard Watts, at a public event on Monday, 5 February.

Cllr Watts will hold a ‘budget special’ Leader’s Question Time that will focus on the council’s spending priorities for 2018/19, which include putting £57 million into building 200 new council homes and investing almost £14 million to provide a new and expanded Tufnell Park primary school.

Leader's Question Time is at the new Brickworks Community Centre, 42 Crouch Hill, N4 4BY.

Residents are invited to ask questions about any local issues that matter to them. The council’s executive takes local issues seriously and has taken direct action following concerns raised at previous events, such as tackling fly tipping on the site of a burnt out building on Hornsey Road, among others.

Cllr Watts said: "This Question Time is an opportunity for residents to find out more about where the council will be spending its money next year, as well as raising any local concerns they may have.

“I look meeting many Islington residents on the 5th.”

To submit a question in advance, or if you need an interpreter to attend the event, please email leadersquestions@islington.gov.uk. Questions can also be asked on the night.
