Have your say at Leader's Question Time

Islington residents are invited to join council leader Cllr Richard Watts and have their say at Leader's Question Time.

People can ask questions about local issues that matter to them at St Luke's Community Centre, EC1V 8AJ, from 7.30pm-9.30pm on Tuesday 3 March.

The first Leader's Question Time, held last year, saw Cllr Watts answering resident questions on subjects ranging from council tax to housing repairs, parking, trees and leisure centres.

Islington Council is hosting the Question Time sessions under a council pledge to make it easier for residents to have their say and become involved in local democracy.

Cllr Watts said: "We want to make it easy for people to have their say about what happens in our borough.

"I'd like to invite all Islington residents with something to ask to St Luke's Community Centre on March 3 - I look forward to hearing from as many people as possible."

The Leader's Question Time will be chaired by Kristina Glenn, director of Cripplegate Foundation.

If you would like to submit a question in advance, or if you can’t attend the event, you can email your question to leadersquestions@islington.gov.uk. Or you can just turn up on the night to ask your question.

A Twitter hashtag #LeadersQT has been set up so that residents can join the debate on Twitter. For the latest updates follow @IslingtonBC.
