Islington Council leader Cllr Richard Watts

Have your say at Leader’s Question Time with Cllr Richard Watts

Local residents are invited to question Islington Council’s Leader Cllr Richard Watts at a public event on Tuesday 2 October.

The meeting will be chaired by Africa Alconchel-Guido, a local resident who runs Angel Greens, a not-for-profit social enterprise, providing organic vegetables directly from local farms to Islington residents and people working in the area.

It is being held at the new Goodinge Community Centre, North Road, Holloway, N7 9EX, from 6.30pm-8pm.

Residents are invited to ask questions about any local issues that matter to them. The council takes local issues seriously and wants to give people the chance to have their say on matters closest to them.

Cllr Watts said: “Leader’s Question Time is an excellent opportunity for people to ask me about local issues and I’m looking forward to hosting the latest edition at the brand new Goodinge Community Centre.

“I’m really pleased that Africa from Angel Greens is going to be the independent Chair for the night. Her social enterprise keeps her very busy, so I thank her for donating her time.”

To submit a question in advance, or if you need an interpreter to attend the event, please email leadersquestions@islington.gov.uk. Questions can also be asked on the night.

If you are unable to make the meeting, follow @IslingtonBC #LeadersQT on Twitter for updates and to join in on the debate.
