Have your say at the ‘Budget Special’ Leader’s Question Time

Local residents are invited to question Islington Council’s Leader, Cllr Richard Watts, about the council’s spending priorities and other local matters at a public event later this month.

Leader’s Question Time ‘Budget Special’ will be held on Monday 11 February at The Arc Centre, 98b St Paul Street, N1 7DF, from 6.30pm-8pm.

It is a chance for residents to ask questions about the council’s 2019/2020 budget, which includes plans to spend £187m building more than 550 new council homes and protecting vital services, as well as any local issues that matter to them.

The meeting will be chaired by Dr Josephine Sauvage, Chair of NHS Islington Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG).

Cllr Watts said: “Local issues are important and we want to give people the chance to have their say on matters closest to them. This Question Time is also a great chance for people to find out more about where the council will be spending its money next year.

“I’d like to thank Dr Sauvage for agreeing to chair the meeting and I look forward to seeing her and local residents on the 11th.”

To submit a question in advance, or if you need an interpreter to attend the event, please email leadersquestions@islington.gov.uk. Questions can also be asked on the night.
