Islington Council Leader condemns antisemitic attack on Jewish ambulance charity
Responding to the attack on a Jewish ambulance charity in Barnet, Cllr Una O’Halloran, Leader of Islington Council, said: “Everyone in Islington will be shocked and appalled at this despicable antisemitic attack on north London’s Jewish community.
“To target volunteers and ambulances with such an act of violence is abhorrent, and we stand together with our Jewish residents in response to this act of cowardice.
“We have already worked with the Metropolitan Police to step up patrols around Jewish sites across Islington, which will continue over the coming days, and to provide reassurance to our faith partners as approach the festival of Passover.
“London is the greatest city in the world because of its tolerance, diversity and blend of cultures. This strength will always triumph over those who seek to divide us.”
