Mayor of Islington recovering in hospital
The Mayor of Islington, Cllr Richard Greening, is in hospital recovering from injury and keen to get back to his Mayoral Duties.
On Monday 7th December 2015, he was admitted to the Royal London Hospital with a head injury, resulting from a fall in the street.
His wife, Patsy Greening (née Bradbury), said: “He is getting better and eager to get back to the business of being Mayor as soon as he can. I am grateful to the staff at the RLH for their kindness and expertise.”
Leader of Islington Council, Cllr Richard Watts, said: “On behalf of everyone at Islington Council, we send our very best wishes to the Mayor, and look forward to having him back soon.”
Deputy Mayor of Islington, Cllr Kat Fletcher, is temporarily undertaking all Mayoral duties, while Cllr Greening recovers.
