Sign up to pay your Council Tax by Direct Debit for your chance to win £25,000!

One lucky local resident could win £25,000 by registering to pay their council tax by Direct Debit.

Along with 15 other London boroughs, Islington Council has teamed up with Bacs Payment Schemes Limited, the not-for-profit organisation behind Direct Debit, to offer residents the chance to win the life-changing sum of money. Residents who already pay by Direct Debit will go into the draw automatically.

The London-wide draw takes place on 17 July 2015.

Cllr Andy Hull, Islington Council's executive member for Finance and Performance, said: “By signing up to pay their council tax by Direct Debit, residents can save themselves time and hassle – and it’s also going to save the council money as it’s cheaper for us to process Direct Debit payments.

“We’re encouraging as many people as possible to be in with a chance of winning the £25,000 prize by making their lives easier and switching to Direct Debit.”

The deadline to be entered into the prize draw is 17 July.
