Your chance to quiz your council leader

Islington residents are invited to put their questions to council leader Cllr Richard Watts at Leader’s Question Time.

It is the third Question Time-styled session since the council introduced them last year, as part of a pledge to amplify residents’ voices and encourage their involvement in local democracy.

The Leader’s Question Time, which will be chaired by the Reverend Steve Clarke, will take place between 7.00pm and 9.00pm on Thursday September 10th August 2015 at Caxton House, N19 3RQ.

Islington Council leader, Cllr Richard Watts, said: “We’re committed to making Islington fairer and that commitment means being open and transparent about the things we do and the way we do them.

“The Leader’s Question Time sessions are an excellent opportunity to strike up a conversation between local people and myself about the issues that matter to our community. I’m looking forward to meeting and speaking with as many residents as possible.”

Residents can turn up on the night to ask a question. If you would like to submit a question in advance, or if you cannot attend the event, you can email your question to leadersquestions@islington.gov.uk. Anyone requiring special access arrangement should call 0207 527 3389.

A Twitter hashtag #LeadersQT has been set up so that residents can join the debate on Twitter. For the latest updates follow @IslingtonBC.
