Islington Council’s local election results

Voters across Islington have elected all 51 councillors, following the local elections on Thursday, 7 May.  

The council now comprises:  

  • 32 Labour councillors 
  • 19 Green Party councillors  

Turnout varied between 49.87% in Tufnell Park ward and 37.72% in Bunhill ward.

Around 620 people helped make the election possible by working at 87 polling stations across Islington on polling day.  

Today (Friday, 8 May), approximately 250 people worked at the count at Islington Tennis Centre, ensuring the results were confirmed as smoothly and efficiently as possible.
