LGBT+ History Month is a national annual event aiming to increase the visibility of the LGBT+ community, as well as their history, lives and experiences, and to promote equality and diversity through education.

To help keep everyone in the borough safe, Islington Council has launched four Covid testing sites around the borough using rapid tests supplied by the NHS, and is offering testing to key workers as part of the UK-wide effort to drive down transmission rates.

Cllr Richard Watts, leader of Islington Council, said: “We are shocked and deeply saddened by the tragic death of a teenage boy following a stabbing in Islington this evening (Monday, 25th January).

The council will host an online event on 27 January to commemorate Holocaust Memorial Day, the international day to remember the six million Jews murdered during the Holocaust, alongside millions of other people killed under Nazi Persecution and in many other genocides around the world including in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur.
